Hello everyone :D Thank you for the effort that you've put into this SYF! Let us all accept the medal we received graciously. What had happened just now on stage, happened, and there is truly nothing more we can do to change the results. What mattered was that all of us persevered to the end! There are many things that are beyond our control but what we can control are our emotions. Please don't give up on the band and ultimately, on yourselves. Take Sydney (for sec 3s-5s) and SYF (all of you guys!!) as a learning experience. All we can do now is to just practise even harder, all of us, so that we will not let history repeat itself again.
We are not alone in this SYF. Many bands that were once gold or gwh standards, dropped this year. One reason is because the band scene in singapore is changing, thus the standards have also gone up. Don't think about it too much and keep moving forward. It's the only thing we can do (:
To the graduating seniors:
It's time for us to move out of the bandroom (AKA our second home). Haha. Let us all think back about band and only think about the good times we've spent together with our bandmates! LET'S CHIONG FOR Os AND MAKE OUR BAND PROUD! We've all grown so much since the first day we joined band and it is truly a remarkable jouney that we've spent together as one band.
To the sec 3s-4s:
We know all of you have tried your best-in Sydney & SYF. Please don't give up on the band now. It is really your time to be the new pillars of suuport for the entire band after we officially step down after SYF showcase. Please be strong for the juniors and enjoy the rest of your days in band! Time flies so treasure everything that you have. Always look at the bright side of life! The seniors will always be here with you if you ever need us.
To the sec 2s:
To be able to be part of SYF is already a remarkable achievement for you guys! Please share your experiences with your peers and encourage one another to work hard and strive for the gold/gwh medal in the next SYF. All of you still have another chance! So don't give up! We are all proud of you for being strong (:
