We did it!
We got a GOLD!
Take pride in it, because all of you worked really hard for it. We earned it. I sure hope all of you enjoyed that short time on stage (because i sure did!) and yeah. It passed by in a flash but i hope all of you continue to play with that kind of passion and enthusiasm! Let the passion of music continue to burn in all of you :D
However, we shouldn't become arrogant or complacent. The medal is just like a cherry on top of the cake. What's most important is the CAKE. So yeah, let's not forget to keep improving and working hard! Almost remember that there's no end to learning and yeah! juniors keep working hard! make us seniors proud of you :D you can do it!
However the band definitely could not have achieved it alone!
We want to say a big thank you and give a big hug to all these wonderful people who made this a reality and brought IJ band to where we are today!
First of all, thank you Mr Clarence Tan! *hughug* Thank you for joining our IJ Band Family and becoming one of us! Thank you for all your patience and teachings (: all of us enjoyed blowing the balloons and the gardenia bread bags :D Thank you for encouraging us all the time and for cheering us up when we feeling down over a performance or anything. Thank you for believing in us and never giving up hope! Thank you for your continuous support! Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher! Even though you've only joined us for a short time, thank you for trying your best to adapt to our band and to us. We'll continue to work hard and make you proud to be our conductor! we love you!
Next, we want to thank Mr Leonard Tan! *hughug* Even though you're not physically here with us, your spirit is still here (: We'll continue to remember your teachings and encouragement to all of us! Thank you for helping us and encouraging us despite being busy with your studies! We really appreciate it! Thank you for supporting us and believing in us, never giving up on us all this while! We'll continue to play with musicality and play our hearts out! and touch all those hearts of those who hear and make sure the GPI (goosepimple index) is SKY HIGH! All of us here wish you all the best and we'll definitely keep you in our hearts (: we love you!
Thirdly, thank you to all our teachers-in-charge! Mr Tang, Mr Chan, Mrs Kwan and Miss Ong! *hughug* Thank you for supporting us all this time and believing in us! Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for the band. Thank you for standing next to us and walking this journey with us! We really appreciate you all for everything! we love you!
Last but not least, thank you to every single one of you ij band members! you really worked very hard to get here! and i'm so proud of you :D the whole comm, the teachers, the conductors are superduper proud of you! you've worked like mad and we've reaped the fruits of our labour! Enjoy the sweet taste of your labour! you deserve it! hahaha, thank you moving like mad that day! awww, don't have to listen to me and dawn nagnagnag anymore! thank you for all your sacrifices and all the time you invested into band! thank you being so diligent and practicing so hard! remember the first time we sightread overture and die flederamaus? disastrous! hahaha, but see! now we sound WAH. haha, okay lah, basically what i'm trying to say is that we have really come a long way and yeah (: clapclap! good job! i love you!
Well, now that syf is over, Sec 4s and 5s are going to step down really soon. Juniors, better love us a lot more (: HAHAHA, okay, sorry, ignore that! hahaha, study hard everyone and do well for you mid-years!
